Across the river is not across the country. Our yard in West Chester is 24 to 30 minutes from most of Northern Kentucky, and we put dock height storage trailers at Boone, Kenton and Campbell County businesses the same day they call.
Plenty of Cincinnati companies treat Northern Kentucky as a separate market and price it that way. We do not. The Brent Spence and I-275 crossings put most of Boone and Kenton County closer to our yard than parts of the Ohio side, so a trailer to Florence or Covington is a normal same day run, not a special trip.
What changes on the Kentucky side is the work. Around CVG it is distribution overflow and inventory that showed up before the racking did. In the older river cities it is renovation storage and contractors staging material on lots with very little room. We size the trailer to the job and the spot: a 28 foot trailer for a tight urban site, a 53 foot trailer holding 26 pallets for a warehouse that needs another dock door's worth of space.
Every trailer is a steel dry van at dock height, 48 to 52 inches off the ground, with swing-out lockable rear doors. Rentals run a 3-month minimum, then month to month for as long as you keep it.
Boone County is where most of the region's freight lives: the CVG airport logistics cluster, the distribution and industrial parks around it, and the Mall Road retail corridor in Florence. Trailers here are usually overflow for a warehouse that filled up faster than planned.
Kenton County runs from the Covington riverfront out through Fort Mitchell and Erlanger along the I-71/75 corridor. Expect a mix of older industrial buildings with real docks, office and medical campuses doing renovations, and contractors staging material on tight urban sites.
Campbell County is the eastern side of the river crossing, with Newport's commercial district and the businesses spread south along US-27. Most calls here are retail overflow, renovation storage and construction staging.
Same company, same trucks. If you are moving product between a Kentucky warehouse and an Ohio plant, we run same day local trucking from a few pallets to a full truckload, dock to dock, quoted per load with no minimum. A lot of our Northern Kentucky customers use both: a storage trailer at the building, and a truck to clear it out when the overflow is ready to ship.
Not sure what size you need? Start with our size guide or the pallet math for every trailer size, or just call and describe what you are storing.
Call by noon for same-day delivery to Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties. 3-month minimum, then month-to-month. No long-term contracts.
